Vigilant, together with Aon Hewitt, is proud to announce the technology company was named among Canada’s Best Small & Medium Employers for 2017. The Montreal firm has been honored with this award for the last six years and is continuously recognized as a top employer in both the province of Quebec and city of Montreal.
Having scored a 96% engagement rate as calculated by Aon, Vigilant is being recognized as a Platinum Aon Best Employer for the second consecutive year. Platinum level organizations fully meet the requirements of the Aon Best Employers program and are eligible for regional and global Best Employer status.
“Making Vigilant the best place to work is our number one mission,” said Arvind Ramanathan, co-founder and managing director of Vigilant. “To demonstrate this, we recently moved Vigilant’s headquarters to beautiful, modern offices that reflect our values and our culture—a place our employees will feel energized and inspired. We’re thrilled to celebrate this Best Employer recognition with all of them in our new space.”
Vigilant’s new headquarters at 1360 Rene-Levesque in Montreal promotes collaboration with informal jamming areas and an open floor plan, and provides space for employee perks such as daily catered breakfast and lunch, weekly yoga sessions, in-house massages, and a game room. The company also offers its 150 employees a strong package of traditional benefits, a $500 annual allowance for cultural activities outside of work, and quarterly team-building days.
Aon Best Employers is the premier benchmark for assessing the quality and performance of Canadian and global workplaces. To compile the list of top employers, Aon Hewitt conducts a study based on four indices of workplace effectiveness: engagement, leadership, performance culture and employment brand. Earlier this year, Vigilant’s employees were invited to participate in the confidential survey.
